My Kind of Weekend
Having my 2 sisters, Marisa and Nana, with me this past Thanksgiving was the best gift I could ever ask for. Just in case you don’t remember, my three favorite holidays are Halloween, Christmas and My Birthday. I will be turning 23 on Sunday and for me, it’s not just a one day celebration, it’s more of like the a whole month kind of thing. This time around, I started celebrating extra early. I received my first birthday gift from Jonathan Joseph Peters a few weeks ago, as well as having my sisters with me this past weekend.
My sisters and I have been waiting two years now to get our "sister tattoos". I don’t really handle pain well but I have to admit, it was not bad at all. I am obsessed with it!
Spur of the moment, we decided to take an overnight trip to NYC. I was a bit nervous about booking a hotel I had never heard about. I saw a few pictures online and after discussing it with my two sisters and Evan, Marisa’s boyfriend, I booked it! On our way to the city, Miley Cyrus tweeted about having a concert in Terminal 5. Of course we bought tickets immediately.
Knowing that we only had 24 hours in the city, I wasn’t sure if we were going to be able to do everything we had on our agenda. In less than 24 hours we stopped at the hotel, and walked trough Central Park making our way to the Metropolitan Museum of Art. A girl could only dream of a Jacqueline de Ribes wardrobe, I was thrilled to find out the exhibition was right up my alley. After walking around all day we were starving and stopped for Cuban/Puerto Rican appetizers at Victor’s Cafe. After fueling up we got ready for the concert and arrived at the venue where we made our way through the hundreds of people all the way in front of Miley Cyrus.
It was hard to say goodbye but, once again, I had the time of my life in one of my favorite cities. Counting the days, 21 to be exact, when Marisa, Nana and I reunite on the island we call home, Puerto Rico, to spend the holidays.
Don’t miss my next posts on the Sanctuary Hotel, the Jacqueline de Ribes exhibition and appetizers at Victor’s Cafe.
Until my next topic…
XOXO
