Closing Night of StyleWeek Season 11
If we go back in time, 24 hours ago I was getting ready for the Closing Night of StyleWeek Northeast Season 11. Yesterday was the first time in the history of StyleWeek that Amy Stetkiewicz, Jess Abernethy & Jonathan Joseph Peters, were showing all on the same night! In case you didn't know these three designers are the most creative ones to show in StyleWeek in my book. Not only do they put together a clothes collection but they usually come up with some type of show and theme to go along with it. I have to say they did it once again!
Amy Stetkiewicz opened the closing night. Her collection was mostly dresses where you could see beautiful draping. I absolutely fell in love with the red and white skirt.
The night followed with Jess Abernethy's show. If I could, I would have a million skirts in my closet made by her. I have a long way to go considering I only have 4, one of them which I wore with its matching top on opening night. The color palette in this collection was my favorite for the ENTIRE week. From shorts to pants and skirts to dresses Jess included the perfect variety of styles in her collection last night.
Once again Jonathan Joseph Peters closes the season with a great introduction! I will definitely be needing one of the pieces in my closet! Every time JJP chooses the most unique fabrics and I can't help to want everything. All the jewelry and accessories where designed by Alexa Cach from House of Cach. They had the audience talking the whole show! It is amazing to see the creativity put into the runway shows when Alexa and Jonathan work together. Not only have I seen them on the runway but I have worked with them behind the scenes. They are an amazing duo and I feel lucky to know them.
Stay tuned for my next post. What to do and what not to do when attending a fashion show.
Until my next topic...
XOXO
