Pints for Paws
The Pints for Paws was held today in the city of Providence, hosted by Pizza J (967 Westminster St. Providence, RI) a new restaurant by Julian Forge. I participated as a volunteer for the activity setting up before the event, working during it and finally packing everything once the day was over. It is amazing to see the local community support a great cause. All the proceeds of the fundraiser will support the Providence Animal Rescue League (PARL) adoption and sheltering services for thousands of animals per year, along with community outreach and education programs.
As a first time volunteer, I did not know what to expect. I was thrilled to see that there was a line at the entrance before the event started. Tickets were sold out!
My babies Lola Isabel, Pepa María, Gigi Sofía and Tula Bella were all on my mind today (they all live in Puerto Rico). Yes, all my dogs have middle names. So hard not being able to have one of my own here in Providence, but glad that got to make a few friends today.
Thanks Flaunt Boutique, Alex Anothny Curl and Blowbar, Circe & Livi's Pockets for making a donation prize for the raffle.
Until my next topic...
XOXO
